You have been assigned a problem that is facing our world today. Your job is to find out about your issue and make a one to three minute presentation to your peers about the topic. Use the following questions to plan. You choose your presentation style, but you must cite your references. You may start with Wikipedia to get a basic idea, but you may use one of the other sources found to the left as well.
Your presentation must include the following:
- Define your issue. For instance, what does food insecurity mean?
- Pick an area or part of the population that is affected by this problem.. Explain how or why this area feels the effect. For instance, lack of proper clean water can lead to diseases. Be specific.
- What challenges inhibit agencies or governments from solving this problem.
- Give one example of how the world is trying to help the need.
- Why is it important that we are educated about this problem? What will happen if no one addresses or helps with this problem?
